Ortlieb Adapter for Brompton – More Storage, Fewer Compromises

Many Brompton riders keep asking us for a really spacious, waterproof front bag. That's why we explicitly recommend the Ortlieb adapter from our partner company Steuerbord, even though it's not from our own product range.

This adapter is a system that directly connects the Ortlieb Back-Roller Classic (20 l) to the Brompton Front-Carrier-Block. This allows you to leave the bag body mounted even on the folded bike and remove or reattach it in seconds.

If you already own a Back-Roller, opt for the DIY kit: adapter plate, aluminum stiffener, and all necessary screws are included. Alternatively, a completely pre-assembled bag is available if you want to get started without any tinkering.

Thanks to the robust polyester fabric, the roll-top closure, and the Quick-Lock 2.1 system, the bag remains absolutely waterproof – and can still be used on the rear wheel. In addition, an inner pocket and shoulder strap ensure order and comfort off the bike.

The setup can carry up to around 10 kg without affecting the agile handling of the folding bike – ideal for commuting, large grocery runs, or weekend tours.
