Telescopic extension axle for Brompton folding bike

With this extendable axle, you can give your Brompton bike a more stable stand. Especially the version without a luggage rack is usually a bit wobbly and doesn't roll as smoothly.

Brompton has different dimensions for this Y-shaped fork. This extender axle has a width of 117mm and is therefore suitable for all Bromptons with rear triangle brackets between 110-115mm. Any gap can be bridged with the included washers.

The axle can also be used for other Brompton bikes whose wheels are still fastened with a 5mm screw. In this case, 5mm screws must be used instead of the standard 6mm screws.

Attention:

• This extension only fits the "old" rear frame, not the new Advanced rear frame. This is found on the P Line, T Line, the electric C Line, and from 2025 on all C-Line models with the Advanced rear frame.

• Even if these wheels and the axle are made of high-quality materials, physics sets limits to their robustness. If you often hastily roll your folded bike over asphalt, the axle or wheels might not take it well and bend.
  

• We recommend securing all screws with a suitable threadlocker such as Loctite. Vibrations can cause the screws to loosen.
